This listing is for a set of five magnets covered with vintage Japanese kimono fabric - a great gift idea! Each magnet is actually a silk-covered button blank with a magnet attached on the back. 

This set features Japanese motifs created with katagami stencils. Two magnets feature people in different parade scenes. Two more depict florals and a waterfall. And the last is a dark blue with hand painted hash marks. Primarily blues and grays with bright accents. (See videos below for how each technique is done.) 

These little gems combine fun and function, offering a Japanique twist for a teacher's whiteboard, a student's locker, or the home fridge. We love upcycling kimono fabric into "usable art", and they make great gifts, stocking stuffers, party favors...
