This listing is for a vintage silk kimono made for a very young girl. Note that it has been "hemmed" with an 11" tuck at the waist and a 3" tuck on each shoulder - all of which can be removed if more length is needed for a better fit.

This gorgeous kimono is a sweet fuchsia color background - a silk jacquard that features bamboo, florals, and more that shimmer in the light.

Printed on top of that is a series of large and small rounded bouquets of many different kinds of flowers.   Soft pastel colors make a lovely contrast to the bold background.

Long sleeves and a lightening pattern in the silk jacquard suggest this was made for a special young woman for a special event.

Note the little ties attached to the front - the one of the right threads through the underarm opening on the left and around the back to tie with the tie from the left side. These would be tied in the back or front but then hidden underneath a colorful obi.
