This listing is for a traditional underkimono (juban in Japanese) designed to be worn beneath a woman's kimono. 

Soft as a watercolor garden at dawn, this woman's juban kimono features drifting sprays of mums and plum blossoms in gentle pink, powder blue, and creamy white. The pastel background carries a delicate wash of pink that moves like mist behind the florals.

Underkimono make wonderful robes because they are cut shorter than outer kimono, so they do not have the extra length that is typically folded at the waist for traditional dressing. The lighter weight and streamlined shape make them easy to slip on and wear without added bulk. Perfect for the beach, poolside lounging, summer cover ups, or effortless layering at home or out and about.
