Description

This listing is for a vintage kimono made for a young girl. The bright colors, dense patterning, and the texture of the silk all suggest that this kimono is from the 1950s or earlier.

The palette includes coral, mustard yellow, and other strong vintage colors on a dark royal purple background with a subtle tachibana (orange blossom) jacquard. The motifs in each "bubble" include a taiko drum, cranes, folding fan, and several types of flowers and family crests.

Although it makes a dazzling display, it is still quite wearable - but please check the measurements against the child to confirm the fit before ordering. Kimono run small and remember that some of the length would be taken up at the waist when belted.
