This listing is for a vintage bolo tie purchased from Japan. Bolo ties were a hot item in Japan in the 1980s and 1990s when the rockabilly trend was embraced and modified to showcase Japanese artistry.

This hand-carved wooden bolo tie features a stylized face in profile, framed by carved foliage and a blossom motif, giving it the feel of a folk art or nature spirit carving. The warm wood tones, braided brown cording, and oversized carved slide create a bold artisan look that pairs beautifully with rustic, bohemian, or vintage western styling.

There is what appears to be an artist's signature on the back. We have two of these, both have similar carved characters on the back. The one you receive might be slightly different on the back.
