This listing is for a vintage and stylized michiyuki jacket, meant to be worn over a kimono. The usual square neckline is a rolled collar on this one, but it still has the inner ties to keep the hemline straight, snap closures and a hidden pocket on the right front panel.  Those are the typical features of a michiyuki - michi means "street" and yuki refers to "going out".

Bold, modern, and festive, this jacket brings instant drama to any wardrobe collection. The deep red textured fabric catches the light beautifully and the geometric maze-like pattern is a raised velvet layer - rewarding a closer look.

A removable vintage brooch at the collar lends an artistic touch that feels both glamourous and personal. (It covers a blemish beautifully. Hidden snaps, inner waist ties, and a secret inner pocket make it as functional as it is striking. 

There are a couple blemishes near the snaps on the front, reflected in the price. See last photo.  Still a unique and lovely jacket.

Michiyuki are a narrow garment, fastened with snaps that will open if the fit is too tight. (The measurement we give is the jacket snapped closed, so your hips and waist measurement should be several inches smaller than the hips/waist measurement we give.)
