This listing is for a complete set of vintage hanafuda cards. Hanafuda is a traditional Japanese card game that blends art, strategy, and seasonal symbolism. 

This warm, well-loved deck features classic printing with softened tones, black borders, and charming mid-century character. One card is marked "Nintendo", the historic game company known for producing hanafuda long before video games. Another card includes some poetic text or a regional phrase, giving the set extra personality. The rich color blocks have mellowed beautifully over time.

The deck comes in a sturdy two-piece plastic case, with a light brown lift top and black base that includes a paulownia cut out and folds down for easy access to the cards. The underside is stamped with the text "good fortune", a traditional emblem used on game sets. The case shows expected surface wear.

This set is in very good vintage condition with signs of age, worn edges, and mottling. Each card is 1.25 inches x 2 inches.
