This listing is for a complete set of vintage hanafuda cards. Hanafuda is a traditional Japanese card game that blends art, strategy, and seasonal symbolism. 

This set features delicate, woodblock-style artwork and includes the classic "tengu" title card which translates to "Tengu, the Great One Hundred Selections". This is a charming maker's flourish referencing a curated or premium print series. Each month's suit is a richly printed interpretation, including extra characters meaning "tradition" or "following custom". Red backing and borders.

The outer box is cardboard featuring a bold red tengu mask illustration reading the same text as the matching title card inside. It is showing signs of wear and needs tape to help support the corners.

This set is in very good vintage condition with signs of age, slight mottling, and fading. This set does have more artistic flair which makes it stand out from traditional sets. Each card is 1.25 inches x 2 inches.
