Traditional Japanese children's yukata are lightweight cotton kimono worn during the warmer months, particularly for summer festivals, fireworks celebrations, and casual outings. Originally associated with bathing and relaxation, yukata evolved into popular summer garments, often featuring bold geometric patterns, playful motifs, and classic indigo-and-white designs. Children's yukata were typically made without a full lining for breathability and often included attached ties to make dressing easier for young wearers.
