This listing is for a six-yard length of unused vintage Japanese fabric intended to be made into a kimono but never was.  

This is soft drapey silk - great scarf weight - with a layered design of long red curves that resemble swirling water to us.  The pattern was brush-dyed by hand and offers a genuine artist appeal.  Underneath those curves is a woven jacquard that echoes the same curved design in an eggshell shade of ivory with almost a gray cast.  

This is a "partial bolt" of six continuous yards.  The rest of the bolt is offered by the yard.
