Happi coats are traditional Japanese festival jackets made from durable cotton and worn by groups to show identity and spirit during celebrations, performances, or community events.

Bright, bold and unmistakably festive, this happi coat pairs a vivid red background with a dynamic white wave pattern that surges across the lower half, reminiscent of classic Japanese seascape designs.

Centered on the back is a large blue paulownia crest -- a symbol historically associated with prestige and government authority. The inner sleeve reveals a crisp white cuff with navy polka dots. Along the black lapels on the front, the kanji reads "Celebration of Shrine Relocation/Reconstruction Commemoration" and "Kitawakaoji-cho" (a district name).

If you need a display rod to hang your purchase, we offer 60" wooden rods - see tab below.
