Subtle and meditative, this minimalist Japanese folding fan features two small painted fish gliding beside soft aqua reeds and layered wave-like bands rendered in an ink wash style. The restrained composition and visible artist signature give the piece a hand-finished character, while fish motifs in Japanese art often symbolize perseverance, movement, and good fortune. Look closely to see the artist's signature.

There are signs of age with some discoloration along the top edge, see last photo.
