This listing is for one yard from a deadstock bolt of unsewn, unused vintage Japanese kimono fabric.

A dazzling textile alive with color and auspicious symbols, this fabric features orizuru or origami cranes - icons of longevity and good fortune. The wings are adorned with intricate patterns of blossoms and seasonal motifs as if they have been folded from vibrant washi paper. They soar across fluffy red, yellow, and white clouds on top of the diamond chrysanthemum jacquard. This beautiful silk was likely meant for a young girl's kimono that would be worn at a milestone event.

Great for piecework, especially when combined with other vintage kimono remnants.
