This listing is for a decorative image taken from a vintage Japanese katagami stencil, suitable for framing.  It is not part of the original stencil - it is a copied image, machine-cut, on thick art paper. This image features a large family crest often referred to as a "melon" crest in English but is called odauri or oda mokku in Japanese.  It is associated with Oda Nobunaga, a ruling samurai who is credited with trying to unite Japan back in the 16th Century. Its soft yet structured form conveys balance and strength, blending approachability with disciplined authority.

Your purchase includes only a sheet of the katagami art and a contrasting piece of cardstock to place behind it. You can choose black or white and 8" x 8" square or 8"x 10".
