This listing is for a woman's Japanese summer kimono - not quite a yukata, since it lacks the brighter colors and patterns typically seen on a yukata. But it is an unlined, light and airy kimono that would still be worn in the hot and humid summer months. The fabric is not cotton, it's a slightly stiff synthetic blend, with a bit of a linen feel.

It still makes a comfy bath robe, beach or poolside cover up, or festival wear for Japanese events or sushi parties anywhere in the world.

This kimono is white with a light blue woven pattern of arrow fletching. The weaving is a style of ikat or kasuri, where the threads are dyed before being woven so that the pattern emerges on the loom.

There is some slight discoloration where the collar would be folded over but it can easily be hidden and might even lighten up with washing over time. See last photo.

We sometimes offer casual hanhaba (half-width) obi in our shop if you'd like something traditional but we also offer a simple cotton sash for $15 that can be added to your order by clicking the option above. We'll choose a color that goes with the yukata.
