This listing is for a complete set of vintage hanafuda cards. Hanafuda is a traditional Japanese card game that blends art, strategy, and seasonal symbolism. 

This charming set shows warm aging, softened edges, and richly inked artwork in bold colors. Some cards feature printed text that translates to "high standard" and "certified mark" which are both used as quality seals in mid-century production. The motifs have a distinctly retro charm, including the boar card in July and the elegant Heian court figure in the willow suit of November. The deck carries a beautiful patina and has strong visual appeal.

The set is housed in a clear plastic lift top case with a deep red base, a widely used style. The underside features the stamped characters meaning "good fortune", a traditional symbol often used on game sets for auspicious play. The case shows signs of age with a crack in the plastic and light scuffing, but still sturdy enough to hold the cards.

This set is in very good vintage condition with signs of age, worn edges, and slight mottling. Each card is 1.25 inches x 2 inches.
