This is a dochugi style jacket, which crosses over in the kimono style (unlike the haori style which hangs open in the front). But instead of needing an obi, it closes with inner and outer ties, which can be tied loosely to allow for a more generous fit. Where haori are best for up to a size 12, dochugi can fit up to a size 16+.

A very light and airy synthetic fabric gives this jacket a summery feel. The background is a buttercream color and the printed pattern on top are criss-crossing lines that create a basketweave design in reds, orange, and purple. The fabric has a crepe texture and the tapered sleeves make this jacket a bit easier to wear than its cousin the haori with longer, square sleeves.
