A symphony of color and texture, this vintage fukuro-style obi features traditional Japanese biwa lutes and ornate bronze mirrors against a striking geometric backdrop of metallic gold, charcoal gray, moss green, and earthy brown. The pear-shaped biwa, historically associated with classical music and storytelling, are beautifully complemented by circular motifs depicting the intricately decorated backs of traditional Japanese bronze mirrors, featuring delicate floral and geometric patterns rather than their polished reflective surfaces. Subtle touches of red and blue enrich the layered design, while a simple black reverse provides an elegant contrast.

This is a fukuro obi - wide for the entire length, plain on the backside and a patterned design only on the front. There is a one yard "blank" section on the front, as is common with contemporary fukuro obi, where some cost can be saved by leaving it blank where the first wrap layer of the belt portion occurs, since it doesn't show to the public.
