This silk iis a sweet dusty rose pink with a lozenge jacquard pattern. You'll fine at least one trio of darker pink blossoms created with the shibori technique. The front side is shiny, back side is muted and in the darker pink tone of the lozenge pattern.

The standard width of all kimono fabric is between 13" and 14" and each length offered here is at least 36" - some are more generous cuts. Multiple pieces may be available.

When we find vintage (circa 1950s but could be older or newer by two decades) Japanese kimono or haori in less-than-sellable condition, we salvage what we can and offer it to artisans, quilters, crafters, and designers for project work. So the fabric has been previously sewn and though we carefully deconstruct the kimono, previous seam lines, as well as minor blemishes, may need to be worked around or trimmed away.
