This listing is for an antique Japanese kimono and vest set made for a young girl to wear.

This dazzling ensemble pairs a padded hifu vest with a matching kimono, creating a coordinated look full of warmth and artistry. The deep purple-blue background features a flowing wave tone-on-tone jacquard with roundels of daisies and cherry blossoms bloom in pink, turquoise, and gold. The padded vest matches so well that it is hard to see when layered on top of the kimono. 

Although we cannot give a specific age to this kimono, its coloring, design, silk type and red lining suggest that it is from pre-war Japan, as early as the 1920s but likely before the 1940s.
