This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori (kimono jacket) that we modified slightly to allow for a roomier fit on larger frames. 

This vintage jacket carries a quiet elegance that reveals itself slowly, with jacquard camellia flowers and leaves woven tone-on-tone for a soft, shadowed effect. The floral motifs shift in the light, giving the fabric depth without overpowering the refined silhouette. A single, family crest in white at the back adds a touch of formality. 

In our Oki Haori Line (oki means "big" in Japanese) of modified haori jackets, we open up the gusset and underarm seams and then re-attached them using every inch of the salvage seam edges. This yields up to additional inches in the waist, hip, and bust measurements.

Whereas unmodified haori tend to be narrower at the bust because the side gussets gradually narrow from waist to bust, our Oki Haori do not taper at the bust, which gives you more coverage in front. Compare your measurements to those given, keeping in mind that the measurements we give are the haori measurements, not a recommendation for the wearer's measurements.
