Description

This listing is for one yard of fabric salvaged from a vintage Japanese kimono.

A deep eggplant purple background and a festive floral design with blossoms that look like balloons to us. Blue, gold, gren, and orange circles dot the landscape, with little white lines of stems (or balloon string?) connecting them all together. Leaves were also created with thin white lines.

Note the white edging around each balloon - this might have been a guideline for creating a circle of color inside of it. We guess this was done with a shibori technique because of the slight puckering, but it could have been done by hand or stencil.

Nice drape to the silk. Scarf weight.
