This listing is for one yard of fabric salvaged from a vintage Japanese kimono.

A coppery brown background with little dabs of fall colors - green, gold, orange - that could refer to a pile of leaves, or perhaps a hearty stew on an autumn afternoon.

We guess that a resist paste was "splattered" on the white silk before it was dyed deep brown, and then once the resist was removed, a delicate brush colored in all of the dots in a random fashion.

Nice drape to the silk. Medium scarf weight.
