This listing is for a vintage Japanese nagoya style obi.

Nagoya obi have a specialized shape - folded and sewn to a 6-7" width for the portion that wraps around the waist but left wide (13-14") for about one yard at the end which would be tied into an elaborate bow.

This obi is a berry and gray combination of colors in a pattern of large, abstract florals with soft curling leaves.  The silk is pliable, easy to tie.

The patterning is a bit unusual in that the design covers the entire obi there is no one-meter blank area on the front and the backside is not solid, it is the same fabric.
