This listing is for a full sampler bolt with 14 different designs in a variety of colors. The designs in each section were made with katagami stencils. Each section is approximately 14"-20" long and 14" wide.

This sampler brings together a gentle, harmonious collection of small-scale patterns in muted, dusty tones, evoking the quiet shift of seasons. Each panel features delicate repeats, tiny florals, drifting leaves, subtle geometrics, and soft wave-like lines, all rendered in a palette of faded blues, mauves, sage greens, and warm earth tones. 

These sampler bolts were created by kimono companies to showcase new designs and colors that would be available in the next season. In fact, a salesman would visit a kimono tailor and leave these bolts to show to customers. This was common practice through the 1960s, but these sampler bolts are quite hard to find these days.

There may be signs of age with blemishes noticeable at one end.
