This listing is for a woman's Japanese summer kimono - called a yukata. These are unlined cotton robes usually worn to casual gatherings or for summer festivals. Yukata are also sometimes offered to guests in Japanese inns and hotels. Yukata are popular these days as bath robes, beach or poolside cover ups, or for Japanese festivals or sushi parties anywhere in the world.

This vintage cotton yukata brings a dreamy, storybook charm with its soft gray violet leaves swirling around gentle pink blossoms, all drifting across the fabric like a garden in the breeze. Airy and light breathable cotton with watercolor style shading that adds a touch of softness. Easy to style and soothing to look at.

Unfortunately, there are some signs of age with a few small blemishes, see last photos, but still in very good vintage condition.
