This listing is for a vintage Japanese kimono dyed with indigo.

This kimono is dazzling - if you love indigo.  A row of chevron patterns with a high contrast of deep blue to white repeats again and again, filling the field. The patterning may have been done with a folded shibori process - see video below for how this was done.

The outer fabric is a medium-weight cotton, but the lining is silk, which is an unusual combination. Upper lining is cream and the lower lining is blue, of course.

There are a few scattered spots - see last photo - which might lighten up with a gentle spot-cleaning but really, they hardly detract from the beauty of this kimono.

If you're going to wear this kimono and need a simple sash, click that option above.
