Description

These weaving strips were made from a vintage Japanese summer kimono. The pattern is a tiny geometric dot, woven with the ikat/kasuri technique. The fabric is linen.

The strips are not continuous -- lengths vary from 14" to 36" and the width varies from 1"-2". There are two balls of 25 yards and one of 20 yards, for a total of 70 yards.

Edges are raw and softly frayed, adding to their handmade character and making them ideal for weaving, wrapping, textile art, and creative projects where texture and depth are key.

These are reclaimed materials and may show signs of their past life, including small blemishes or wear, adding to their depth and character.
