This listing is for a half-pound bundle of overdyed indigo fabric pieces in a mix of silk and synthetic fibers.

Each piece began as a salvaged fragment from traditional Japanese garments, then was overdyed in layers of rich indigo, creating a range of moody blues, occasional greenish hues, and unexpected tonal variations. Every base fabric, weave, and original pattern reacts differently, so no two pieces are ever the same. Subtle motifs may emerge through the indigo while others fade into the dye, giving each piece its own character. A dye vat of natural indigo crystals was used.

These are reclaimed materials and may show signs of their past life, including small blemishes, wear, raw edges, or stitching. The indigo process often softens or obscures these imperfections, adding to the depth, texture, and one-of-a-kind character of the fabric.
