This listing is for a vintage obijime - the finishing touch for a kimono ensemble. Obijime are wound across the middle of the obi belt and tied with a decorative knot at the front.  It is a braided or woven cording, sometimes referred to as kumihimo with a color and design that complements the obi rather than matching the color. This obijime is a casual style, smooth, flat weave with bands of color including cream, blue, red, purple, yellow, and green. This obijime had two sides - one filled with all six color stripes and the other is a solid cream with occasional bands of the same six colors from the other side.
