This listing is for a very unusual, unfinished vintage Japanese kimono.  It features a very dark - almost black - indigo blue with a woven series of pinstripes in cream and red. 

The odd part are the extra-long and very narrow sleeves!  We have no idea why this is, or what purpose this type of modification would have served, unless it was custom-made for a very tall person with very long arms. It's possible, since the length is also longer than usual.

Adding to the mystery are the unfinished edges at the sleeve ends, collar, and hem. The cotton indigo lining is sewn to the kimono except around the edges!
