This listing is for a traditional vintage furisode kimono - the most formal, long-sleeved style created for a young, unmarried woman.  See below for more detail.

Soft, luminous, and quietly dramatic, this vintage furisode kimono glows in a delicate blush pink silk woven with shimmering silver pine boughs. The long, flowing sleeves create graceful movement, while the allover pine motif adds a sense of strength, longevity, and refined symbolism. Subtle metallic threads catch the light beautifully, giving this kimono an elegant glow.

Unfortunately, as with many light-colored vintage garments, there are signs of age, see last photos. The blemish on the back sleeve is light and hard to see from a distance and the blemish on the front is quite small.

Furisode are worn for formal events, such as Seijin-no-hi (Coming of Age Day, sometimes translated as Adults Day) in early January. Furisode are also worn for weddings, recitals, receptions, and other celebrations calling for formal attire. Note the long sleeves (furi = long, sode = sleeves) sometimes called "butterfly sleeves", which flow with grace when she gestures, attracting male attention!
