This listing is for a vintage Japanese summer kimono. These are casual, unlined, and light weight kimono that could be worn during the humid days of summer. 

To celebrate the 2025 Holiday Collection and the season of giving, the simple cotton sash you see pictured with this kimono will be included!  

This peppermint toned light weight kimono brings instant holiday charm, using airy woven stripes that feel both festive and refreshingly light. The kimono is unlined and semi-sheer that allows soft airflow, perfect for warm weather, an extra layer, or a seasonal display with its classic red and white color palette.

Look closely to see the ikat weave, where the edges of the stripes are fuzzy, adding depth and texture. The ikat technique involves dyeing the threads in a pattern before they are woven so that the images emerge on the loom.
