This listing is for a vintage Japanese cotton kimono (called a yukata) made for a young girl to wear at summer festivals.

Full of playful festival spirit, this girl's cotton yukata pairs vibrant origami cranes with traditional temari balls against a rich blue background for a cheerful, eye-catching design. Cranes symbolize longevity, happiness, and good fortune, while colorful temari balls represent friendship, harmony, and joyful childhood, making this a delightful piece filled with wishes for a bright future.

This kimono has a 5" tuck at the waist and 2" tuck at each shoulder. These can be taken out to allow for more length and width if desired.

Children's yukata are lightweight, unlined cotton robes traditionally worn during Japanese summer festivals, fireworks displays, and other warm-weather celebrations. Their cheerful colors and playful motifs make them wonderful for collectors, cultural events, or display.

Vintage Japanese children's kimono make eye-catching displays in spaces too small to accommodate a full-sized kimono. We offer display rods (click the tab below) if you're going to display this kimono.
