"Auspicious Day" - Himo Hairstick

We love this auspicious - lucky! - color combination of a light blue with a bright red. Hung from a white woven himo tied to a dark wooden chop stick.

We created this hairstick from a new wooden Japanese chopstick (the pointy style).

We wrapped a single himo tie (taken from a vintage Japanese haori jacket) and added a length of hand-picked beads that complement the color(s) of the himo tie.

Perfect for wearing with a kimono, since long hair must always be tied up to expose the back of the neck.
