Grace and grandeur come together in this striking tomesode, where an elegant white phoenix unfurls its sweeping tail feathers among paulownia leaves, highlighted with shimmering gold leaf and fine embroidery. The phoenix symbolizes virtue, prosperity, and peace, while paulownia is traditionally associated with nobility and good fortune, creating an especially auspicious pairing. Five butterfly family crests complete this formal kimono, adding a distinguished touch of heritage and elegance.

There are signs of age with mottling in some of the lighter areas -- see last photo, but still quite a striking display and still quite wearable.
