This listing is for a traditional Japanese hair ornament called kanzashi.  Kanzashi is a generic term for a wide variety of these accessories - including long, rigid hairpins, barrettes, fabric flowers, combs and fabric hair ties - which are worn in traditional Japanese hairstyles.  Click here to learn more about the many forms of kanzashi.

This kanzashi is a hirauchi (two prong) style made from celluloid, we believe. The two long prongs are topped with peony (or rose?) floral blossoms and leaves. Look closely to see the faux pearl and rhinestone embellishments.
