This listing is for a single panel of crepe silk picturing the torso and legs of a kimono-clad figure. These were once used by merchants to show the latest designs for the season.

This charming sampler panel pairs soft florals with earthy tones, creating a coordinated look that feels understated and quietly elegant. The haori jacket top features a dusty blue background scattered with paulownia floral motifs in pale pink and ivory, giving it a sweet folk-art quality with a light mid-century sensibility.

The kimono lower section contrasts with a warm brown and an allover pattern of a repeated landscape created by tiny cream dots of various sizes.

Note the numbers printed on one edge that identifies the samples.

Originally intended as a fabric showroom sample for kimono makers or textile buyers, this unique panel makes a wonderful display piece for a sewing studio, textile collection, framed wall art, or creative patchwork and craft projects.

Last photo shows an example of how it might be displayed on a wall.

Signs of age may be present, including light wear, small marks, or subtle variations consistent with vintage textiles.
