This listing is for a set of five magnets covered with vintage Japanese kimono fabric - a great gift idea! Each magnet is actually a silk-covered button blank with a magnet attached on the back. 

This set features three kanoko (fawn spot) shibori magnets in shades of purple. The other two magnets are from the same piece of fabric that has a katagami stenciled design in a traditional tan (kakeshibu color) and blue. (See videos below for how each technique is done.) 

These little gems combine fun and function, offering a Japanique twist for a teacher's whiteboard, a student's locker, or the home fridge. We love upcycling kimono fabric into "usable art", and they great gifts, stocking stuffers, party favors...
