This listing is for a traditional Japanese hair ornament called kanzashi.  Kanzashi is a generic term for a wide variety of these accessories - including long, rigid hairpins, barrettes, fabric flowers, combs and fabric hair ties - which are worn in traditional Japanese hairstyles.  Click here to learn more about the many forms of kanzashi.

This kanzashi is a bira bira (fluttering) style made from a golden metal. The two short prongs are topped with a series of florals and leaves, some with little faux pearls, and some dangling from their perch. Unfortunately, there is one dangling pearl missing, but hard to notice from a distance.
