This listing is for a set of five magnets covered with vintage Japanese kimono fabric - a great gift idea! Each magnet is actually a silk-covered button blank with a magnet attached on the back. 

This set is all shibori. Each magnet is covered with a piece of kanoko (fawn spot) shibori (see video below on the shibori technique) salvaged from a vintage haori. Marbled greens, brown, and gray with a subtle floral and geometric jacquard when you look closely.

These little gems combine fun and function, offering a Japanique twist for a teacher's whiteboard, a student's locker, or the home fridge. We love upcycling kimono fabric into "usable art", and they great gifts, stocking stuffers, party favors...
