This listing is silk from a deadstock bolt of unsewn, unused vintage Japanese kimono fabric. Continuous yardage is possible.

Like a garden viewed through cracked glass, this vintage silk is packed with intriguing fragments in warm salmon pink, black, and white. The stenciled design breaks traditional imagery into an irregular, web-like mosaic, revealing glimpses of small houses, flowing water, stylized flowers and foliage, geometric forms, and other tiny landscape-inspired details between the dark outlines. The limited color palette and densely layered composition give the fabric an almost abstract quality from a distance, while up close it becomes a miniature treasure hunt of scattered motifs.

Signs of age may be present, including light wear, small marks, or subtle variations consistent with vintage textiles.
