This listing is for half a pound (8 ounces) of vintage Japanese kimono remnants in a variety of colors, sizes and patterns that are meant for piecework and fiber art.

Remnant size, fiber content, weaving and dyeing techniques will vary widely - if you have specific needs or expectations, we highly recommend you browse the yardage and sets we offer elsewhere in the shop.

 A typical bundle could include stencils, prints, yuzen, roketsuzome, flat, textured and open weaves, jacquards, solids, etc. - such a great variety it is too varied to list. We can sometimes include specialty pieces such as shibori, ikat, embroidery, brocades, etc., but cannot include higher value furisode, boro, children's fabrics, or rare pieces.

Patterning can include florals, geometrics, abstracts, stripes, plaids, and solids. More rarely, we can include traditional scenes such as huts and gardens, imagery such as fans and drums, and animals such as birds, butterflies and deer - this is rare.

Fabric weight can vary from lighter linings good for scarves and purse linings to heavier weaves suitable for book or pillow covers. Most are in between, suitable for clothing, art quilts, applique, etc.

 These pieces are from slightly damaged kimono, haori, obi, and michiyuki, so there may be signs of age but each piece will be at least 80% usable.
