Description

This listing is for a full "bolt" of black silk intended to be made into a traditional fukuro obi.

Still in its original wrapper, this bolt features nearly every floral and traditional motif we can think of. Florals and geometrics woven in a mosaic design that is classic.

This was meant to be a summer kimono - an open, semi-sheer "ro" weave that lets the breeze through and would be worn with a formal summer kimono. Suitable for clothing or decor, still a bit stiff for scarves or lingerie.

This bolt is tacked shut so we have not unrolled it but we believe that the length will be the typical 11+ feet; the width is 14 inches.

The original washi-paper wrapper is a nice bonus.
