This listing is for a vintage Japanese folding fan (sensu in Japanese). See videos below on how the paper version of these fans are made - it's quite an elaborate and precise process. 

Cool green and blue tones with layered ink-style brushwork give this folding fan a calm landscape aesthetic, centered around a dramatic Mt. Fuji scene. The black calligraphy on the fan appears to read “Meihō” or “famous peak/scenic mountain,” while the original sleeve references the zodiac year of the ox and includes auspicious language connected to protection, wisdom, and good fortune. Look closely to see the artist's signature and stamp.
