This listing is for a vintage Japanese semi-formal kimono meant for celebrations, receptions, and special gatherings. 

Like petals drifting across a night sky, abstract florals in soft ivory, blush pink, and lavender seem to tumble along the deep purple background. The florals are accented with subtle touches of gold leaf. The simplified, modernist blossoms have a mid-century artistic feel, balancing elegance with bold negative space. With no lining, it wears lighter than a fully formal piece and can be semi-formal or possibly elevated to formal with the right obi. 

There are signs of age with some discoloration on the collar, see last photo.
