This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori jacket that would have been worn on top of a vintage kimono on a chilly day. It features shibori - Japanese tie-dye - and likely took weeks just to wrap the tiny bunches of fabric to create the pattern. See videos below on how shibori is done as well as on the different styles of kimono jackets. 

This haori is a deep dark red and white combination and features a five-petal floral (could be a plum blossom?) in front of other florals and arching leaves.  Quite a unique floral design.

Haori do not cross over or tie with a sash, like a kimono does - they are meant to be worn open to reveal a bit of what is worn beneath. An optional accessory is the haori himo - the little woven ties that are hooked to the little fabric loops that you'll find on at the mid-front of the haori - but they are sold separately.
