This listing is for a vintage Japanese kimono and obi combination.

The kimono is very vintage in color, pattern, and size (a bit smaller) and has the added fun of a bright silk turquoise lining! The silk is a light crepe in black with a knot and dot pattern in red, blue, and white. Lined, excellent condition.

The obi is nagoya style, where two-thirds of the length (the belt section) is folded and sewn in half to make wrapping it around the waist less cumbersome, and the final third (bow section) is left wide (14in) to accomodate a fancy bow.

The obi color is a deep maroon that brings out the red in the kimono pattern, with angled bands of abstract design in blues, greens, white and others. A larger design appears at the bow end and a smaller version was designed to appear at the front waist once the obi is wrapped.

A very subtle, mature combination.
