Description

This listing is for our Japanique Robe - a vintage Japanese kimono that we have shortened to make it easier to wear as a robe or a long tunic over western clothes.

The motif is called "sharkskin" and it's a series of tiny white dots arrayed in a circular design similar to the seigaiha pattern. The main color is red though it may look pinkish due to the white dots. The pattern was no doubt made using a traditional katagami stencil.

We modified the length to 45" and made a matching belt from the remnant.

Our Japanique Robes also look great worn open as a kimono style long jacket.
