This listing is for a vintage Japanese maru-style obi.  Maru are usually the most expensive version of an obi since they are 14" wide for the full length and patterned on both sides, even though one side will never be seen by the public. Maru obi are worn for the most formal occasions, such as weddings.

This obi showcases motifs and scenes on the unfolded paper shape of sensu (folding fans).  The primary design includes pagodas common for Buddhist temples and tsuzumi (Japanese drums). Plenty of other motifs include various florals, trees, pine, bishamon kikko (connected Y's) and more! Warm color palette - gold, orange, tan, and grayish teal.

If you need a display rod for your obi, you can add one at check out.

See videos below for info about the different styles of obi as well as ways to display them.
